20 The Arena, North Avoca

Modern lighting design in the kitchen featuring downlights, part of the comprehensive electrical installations provided for this Central Coast project.

At Redelec DCI, we recently completed a remarkable project at 20 The Arena, North Avoca, located on the beautiful Central Coast. The primary goal was to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that seamlessly blended with the coastal location. Our involvement included designing and installing a comprehensive lighting plan that complemented the architectural design of the house and its surroundings.

Collaboration and Challenges:

The client sought our expertise in managing a complex lighting design and electrical installations project, requiring solutions that would withstand the coastal environment and enhance the internal finishes. We provided a range of fitting options, balancing functional and ambient lighting. Our approach was highly customised, allowing the client to walk through the project at each stage and make necessary adjustments as their vision evolved.

Working closely with the architect at Studio Alura, we devised a lighting plan featuring copper up/down wall lights on the wrap-around balcony on each level and copper garden lights to connect the landscaped yard to the house. These garden lights were controlled by a 24-hour timer for automatic switching and could also be controlled via a mobile app. Internally, we used copper fittings to harmonise with the timber features throughout the house, utilising warm white lighting to achieve a cosy ambiance. We installed step lights and spotlights around the staircase, timber wall lights in the bedrooms, and downlights in selected areas for functional lighting design.
